About this experience

Participate in our Annual Wetland Biodiversity Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Equipped with a net and bucket, try to catch some invertebrates in the waters of the Marsh.

Watch a live songbird banding demonstration from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Participate in some of our wildlife surveys to learn more about the wildlife found at the Marsh. Surveys include birds, frogs, butterflies and dragonflies.

Pre-registration required. 

Fee is $10 per person for members and $15 for non-members.

Oak Hammock Marsh is one of North America’s birding hotspots and a great destination for people of all ages. This 36km2 Wildlife Management Area features a restored prairie marsh, aspen-oak bluff, waterfowl lure crops, artesian springs, some of Manitoba’s last remaining patches of tall-grass prairie and 30 kilometers of trails for you to explore.
