Critter Dipping and Wildlife Survey

About this experience

Join us every day for a critter dipping session followed by a nature walk to survey some of our wildlife.

Grab a net and search the water of the Marsh to discover some of the creatures that call this place home.

Become a research scientist and join our experienced nature interpreter on one of the many wildlife surveys offered throughout the summer.

We can search for frogs, birds, butterflies, dragonflies and more.The weather and the time of year will determine which species we will be looking for.

This acticvity is well suited for families or anyone curious abour our environment.

Fee is $5 per person. Children and Adults.

Oak Hammock Marsh is one of North America’s birding hotspots and a great destination for people of all ages. This 36km2 Wildlife Management Area features a restored prairie marsh, aspen-oak bluff, waterfowl lure crops, artesian springs, some of Manitoba’s last remaining patches of tall-grass prairie and 30 kilometers of trails for you to explore.
