First, we roll a slab of clay to the appropriate size. Next, we carefully press thistle cuttings into the clay, creating realistic and natural textures. We dry the clay slabs, ensuring they remain perfectly flat. Once dry, we bisque fire the clay to be used as a casting mold for the glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe cut and polish the glass to the appropriate size. Next, we use coloured glass powders and frits to accent the details in the textured clay mold. Once the colours have been applied, we carefully place the sheet glass overtop and place the casting mold into the kiln.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe kiln fire the glass to allow the frits and the sheet glass to fuse together. The colour is the glass itself; you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off. During the firing, we anneal the glass.
