Captivate your imagination and see the dragonflies zipping around the skies. The Dragonfly Standup features an intricate design of swirling texture and vibrant turquoise colour which resembles the beautifully fluid movements of dragonflies.

Measuring approximately 5×6″, this glass decor is a perfect size to bring a breath of colour to your space. Whether you add to your office, or brighten up your mantle, this piece of art is a vibrant addition to any space.

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Dragonfly Standup using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the blue glass to the appropriate size. Then, we prepare a ceramic casting mold using a spray to allow the glass to release from the mold. Next, we use coloured glass powders and frits to accent the details in the ceramic. Once the colours have been applied, we carefully place the sheet glass overtop and place the casting mold into the kiln.

We kiln fire the glass to allow the frits and the sheet glass to fuse together. The colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off. During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will last for as long as you own the glass art.
